Product Development

During my professional experience, I developed a range of products for the In-Store located at George Brown College. These included notebooks, cards, posters, and decorative items.

You can actually buy some of them online or directly at the store: instoregbc-tannia-gutierrez

 Brand Design & Merchandise

What was the merch project about:

Instead of giving out typical conference freebies that people throw away, George Brown College tried something different for this big academic event.

Products:

  • Tote bags
  • Custom socks
  • Notebooks
  • Keychains

How it worked:People got vouchers instead of actual items, then they could choose what they wanted at the campus store.

Why it mattered:

  • Less waste (eco-friendly)
  • Showed off student design skills
  • People only took what they actually wanted

The big picture:This was for Canada's biggest humanities conference, and it was the first time a college (not a university) hosted it. My design work was part of making it special and sustainable.

I helped redesign how conferences give out promotional stuff - making it better for the environment and more meaningful for people.

Notebook

These are products I created for my final thesis project. I focused on designing stickers, business cards, keychains, and books. I developed everything myself—from concept to final design—and also had to build the skill of reaching out to vendors and manufacturers to bring my ideas to life.
